Hi Guys

Hi to all,

I'm new to the Subaru scene so go easy LOL.

I have just got hold of a Scooby wrx that I'm told is a very rare import.

Log book states 1996 Subaru wrx sti prodrive v-limited. Can this be correct?

I have been over to another well known forum and it sucks to be honest so I will try here.

I do have a small problem with the car that when it hits boost above 14psi and around 5000 revs it has major engine cut the car just cuts the throttle for a second after I let of the throttle. The engine doesn't stall.

Any ideas??

thanks guys and I hope I don't get answer like the other forum >i.e "you got a dog ect ect" no constructive commets over there.

Re: Hi Guys

Hi and welcome to .Org

Is the 14 psi accurate ? only ur fuel cut isnt much higher and I wondered if you were getting a boost spike and hitting that,
Have you changed the exhaust to a decat ?

rolling road would be my first port of call, not a fan of the "chips" if honest.

Re: Hi Guys

Ok great I will turn down the boost controller to around 12psi peak as its peaking at 20psi holding 18psi then fuel cut at 5000 rpm.

I will get some pics up very soon as well.

Thanks for the help thus far Bob

Then look for a good rolling road that can map the ECU
