live map or dyno?

live map or dyno?

Surely live mapping is more accurate than on a dyno? Interesting!

Anyone got any views on this

Live mapping all the way, keep the under bonnet temperature and airflow as it should be

That's what I was thinking..just wondering whether they can produce more bhp from a dyno?

Ideally a bit of both in a perfect world, its down to costs really, Its safer and easier to set up on the rollers but then a fine tune on the road, if I could only do one it would be live on the road.

techicly mapping on an engine dyno is the most accurate way so airflow is exact etc.

however there is no way to legaly or safley map a car on the road, speeds are too high. So best way is map on dyno, finish on the road.

start on a dyno and then tweak on the road as required.

you need to be able to put exact loads on the engine, but on the road this cannot be done accurately.
