Webbers Subaru...

Hi all,

Have to say Webbers Subaru in Basingstoke are absolutely excellent.....
Friendly, helpfull and did I say excellent.....

Sorry Bulldogs, I'll be going there now....

Took my car for MOT and Cam belt, by the way it passed...

Do have one problem though, I need to get a new air flow meter, which apparently was supposed to have been replaced three months ago by 'another garage' and looks like it wasnt.... but the guys at Basingstoke are going to sort this for me....

I always find if I get good service from somewhere, it matters little where I have to go to get that service This is why I'm thinking of sticking with Foresters as they've done all the work on my car and I'm happy to have a 7 hours drive (up and back) so they can do whatever is needed.. Hats off to them

Finding people to trust is a hard thing, finding a garage to trust is a even harder thing...

Ivan, Julie and Shaun are some of the nicest people I've ever met in any garage.. Helpful, to the point and they'll give you advice.. Although I think for some reason, Ivan doesnt like me spending money.. Or anyone unless its needed We'll see

I have dealt with a lot and i MEAN a lot of car dealerships... CVC Cardiff are head and shoulders above all of them... excellent dealers.

Anyone on the east side of the country have Xtreme Scoobies to go to. They have a good reputation and are really good guys. Got to tell everyone when you find a good garage even if you have to travel a bit to get there.

Glad you got the car sorted Trish 8)

Kinda... not working 100%, air flow meter is shot away, the guys are taking back tomorrow, and going right through the engine for a full check, really cant fault them, they will stop at nothing to get her right..... Good lads....

My God are you lot on commision

More sucking up than a Dyson

I agree there are some great dealers out there that know what Customer Relations is all about.

While I was in the Yorkshire Dales I had to use the dealer in Pickering to get a clip. The parts guy was really helpful.
However the Sales guy was a right to55er. He had 2 WRX300's in the showroom. I tried to strike up a conversation with him (no other customers in showroom) about Impreza's and all he could say was "I would sell 30 units more if they did not have those STUPID spoilers on the back".

So I tried striking up a conversation on the new model and
one strange thing he did say was "Don't bother buying the new model when it comes out as this is just an interim model, as in 2007 a whole new chassis model will be out based on the Legacy chassis" his words not mine. I wonder if that is crap as well :?:

Chapmans of Pickering get a Thumbs up on Parts and a Thumbs down on Car Sales

I usually find it the opposite way around. Good with sales and poor in the parts department.

One person can colour your whole experience of a dealership....and even a mark, at the end of the day, sales are what it's all about, move the metal... but good salesmen and women, make it fun and easy for the customer... and return business and word of mouth is the most cost effecient form of advertising and future sales... Great salespeople win the customer not the sale!

In contrast I just visited my new local dealer in Harlow and to say the guys and girls were great is an understatement

See this thread http://www.subaru-impreza.org/subaru...pic.php?t=5157

The manager (Simon) has asked that we the subaru community help him give us what we want from a dealership... He is on a steep learning curve product wise and so far hehas been blown away by the Scooby community spirit.
It is a family run business with 30 years experience in car dealerships, they are a multi franchise business.

He will be having an open day soon and is hoping to have Prodrive in attendance (All are invited)
