Classic Scooby V5 or 6 STi 4 door

Do they exist? I am looking at upgrading my scooby to an STI but I cant seem to find any classics that are 4 door and STi apart from some older V4 or 3s. I've looked on autotrader and pistonheads, even on here but nothing much.

*Forgot to add UK car not Jap Import*

Classic sti's were jap import only, so you wont find any uk sti's. Any one claiming to have a uk V5/6 STI is seeling a car with an incorrect description

import sti's v5 and v6 are rare at the min it seems but they do exist.

SVA Imports : Impreza Sti type Ra version 5 - ok not a standard sti but a 4 door lol

Cheers for that. That would explain why I cant find them. What are the downsides of owning a Jap import? I heard all kinds of things like insurance, parts don't fit etc etc...

I've owned my STi3 for 18 months now, and I personally think the only problem is Insurance, parts are available....

Re: Classic Scooby V5 or 6 STi 4 door

parts is a myth created by dealers, if you go to a specialist if they have trouble findig parts then i'd go elsewhere.

Insurance i think is a bit if a myth as well, when you think about why its extra.

First off yes they are more expensive to insure, however that said a classic sti is a much high spec car than a uk classic, has 25% more power (215-276), improved suspention etc etc etc so you'd expect to pay more.

Second it depends where you go for insurance, alot of run of the mill palce load imports because they don;t know alot about them so dont want to get involved. go to a specialist like kieth micheals and you shouldn;t find it a problem.

All very good points mate...

Although Keith Micheals was ridiculously priced for myself. But I suppose it depends on locations etc....
