Smile Oil Pressure 2005 RS

Hi,

I need some help gauging the oil pressure readings I was given this morning. My shop tested the pressure and they came back at 70 psi @ 5,000 rpm, and 20 psi @ 800 rpm. I've searched high and low on the web to find out what what normal is for an impreza, non turbo, with very few findings. The few normal I've seen seem to be somewhere above 30, at idle. I've seen some who had their readings come in at 25 - 30 psi at idle, and they thought that was low. I saw one post for an older impreza who thought they had a normal reading of 35 psi at idle, I believe. If anyone with a guage or who's ever had their oil pressure tested on a healthy impreza before could post some numbers, that would help me tremendously.

Chris
