New fuel pump needed for remap?

Hi

Just fitted a scorpion catback exhaust system to my Wrx Hawkeye along with cosworth panel filter. Looking to get my car remapped by Racedynamix. Basically wondering whether I need to fit a Walbro before I get the car mapped or not?

Thanks

Re: Fuel Pump for Remap?

cheers im hoping economy will increase a little with the map. Will fitting a walbro make less mpg or? I was looking at decat downpipe but can't be bothered with the hassle of mot. Im hoping to still get a decent amount increase in hp tho...

Re: Fuel Pump for Remap?

scoob + economy= lmao..

the pump will only increase the pressure n flow, will do bugger all to economy, the mapper will dial in the correct duty/flow rate from the pump to injectors,so will get max gains from both items, resulting in smooth delivery..

most people decat the cars, some sportcat them, like myself and matt,if your going down the route of sport cat, they have to be red hot for the emissions test...

with the mods you've added, scorpion cat back(same as mine ),the filter pump and if you did go for a sportcat, should be up around the 280ish bhp mark( provided your car dosn't already have a PPP or some other unknown mods..

Re: Fuel Pump for Remap?

Im with the OP here, a sports cat gives you the benefit of being able to go for a MOT where you like, and with very little real difference, we are only talking a few hundred rpm sooner spool wise with a full decat,
A sports cat and full system and a decat`d up pipe would be my chosen route,

Japspeed are around the cheapest but I havent personally purchased from them.
