A list of questions from a newbie!!

Im sorry for all the questions im about to ask (some may seem abit like WTF is this lad on!!)

I have just swapped my mini cooper for a classic wagon 98 plate

1st Question:

Its too high for my liking, some ppl say lowering springs are better, but then im used to coilovers and a nice bumpy ride. when looking on the web i cant find any coilovers etc for a wagon, is the suspension set up the same on a wagon as a classic saloon?

2nd Question:

They lovely lad i got the car off knew i was expecting a newborn next month and this persuaded me even more to get a wagon rather than a saloon, however when i was in the back of the wagon i noticed the old owner had decide to 'cable tie' some saloon rear seats in, yes you read that right he CABLE TIED the rear seats in!!
So question being i need some wagon rear seats asap, do they have to be from a classic wagon or do the bugeye/blobeye seats fit as standard?

I told you they'd propbably be dumb questions, but best to ask the assume!!

Thanks guys

Re: A list of questions from a newbie!!

lowering springs are good as are coilovers, just remember the coilovers will need to set correctly to the subaru settings, otherwise can mess up the handling n grip...if your going to do full suspension, uprate the front n rear droppers, arb's,bushes etc...

as for the rear seats, what turd cable ties saloon seats into a wagon??!!

best stick to the classic seats for the rear, the front are interchangeable with new models...

give Grade A a shout, will more than likely have what your after

Clicky :- Grade A

Re: A list of questions from a newbie!!

Thanks Pilot i did think lowering springs would be better due to AWD etc
So im looking at just classic springs or have they got to be specialised 'wagon' ones?
So am i right in saying the fronts i can change to whatever i want as the runners are the same?
What about doorcards etc, as mine look like they're from a 1980's porn film!! Lovely grey weave material!!

Re: A list of questions from a newbie!!

any prings for a classic tbh,Gmax,Eibach,PI,the list goes on.. a few example here :- Subaru Impreza Turbo Parts, Tuning, Spares & Accessories :: 2.0i Turbo GC8/GF8 94 TO 00 UK - Suspension - Spring Kits ::

the fronts as i said will fit from iirc almost every impreza, not sure on the new hatch/saloon models though,as yet to get my hands on one of them

doorcards have to be from a classic, most people favour the STI ones, velour trim or if you can find them, the full leather ones,(rare as rocking horse shite)...

Look at the coilovers from Japspeed, 600 and if you go to any of the drift shows you'll get a hefty discount too.
