My first sport

Well since getting my first Impreza Sport i have heard a slight tapping noise, which i thought was the exhaust hitting the heat shield or something along those lines.

On the way to work yesterday the tapping got louder and she died on me turns out the tapping noise was the Big End on its way out.

Really not happy only had her 2 weeks, looks like the guy that sold it to me saw me coming a mile off

Re: My first sport

Might not be the way you want to play it but by law the seller private or trade must sell a car fit for purpose. If you are able to determine that the seller must of know. About the problem he has a legal obligation to issue a long lasting repair (6months warranty) the fact that he sold you a car and two weeks later the engine went bang means you can't use the car for what it's made for(cruising looking cool lol) means he either by LAW has to refund you your money or fix the car to operating standard. Similar thing happened to me with a Jap import and trading standards told me this info. Deffinetly worth thinking about mate. Annoys me when 'rogue' traders sell crap to us!!!!

As long as you didn't sign anything ie: sold as seen you got no probs but if what the recovery guy said is true that's good news
