Talking Bluetooth OBD2 & Smartphone = :)

Just got a cheap bluetooth obd2 adapter from ebay and it's class. Got an app (called torque) for my android phone and not I've a full set of guages running on my phone, plus whatever other info you want to grab from the obd2. You can set up pages with whatever guages, dials etc you want. It does some other nice things, like everytime you stop it sets itself for timing 0-60 etc times, starts once you move off, and saves the times. It will log all the data and you can mail it. Gives bhp and torque measurements but they are based on acceleration and weight etc and are inaccurate.

Mainly bought it for checking fault codes (none) but nice to have the fancy trinkets on the phone. Considering when I got a code reader for my M5 it cost about 150 euro, this is a much nicer setup and cost about 12 euro for the bluetooth obd2 adapter and about 4 euro for the app.

Look up "android torque" on youtube and you'll see some examples.

(no I don't work for any of these people, just thought I'd recommend it because I think it's pretty cool)
