Impreza - Japan

Are newly bought cars in Japan restricted to a certain speed? Have seen posts about 100mph restriction... is this true?

Pete is right.

Other issue that can occur is that the gearbox is geared to only go up to 112 and hence derestricting is not always enough. You sometimes need another box too.

Hi
I thought the Japs had got rid of there 280bhp limits and the new Scooby was around the 320bhp. Why would the limit the speed?

It is very diferent for the UK market with the emitions. Perhaps we would be driving Supra's ops:

Kev

I'm unsure about the BHP figure, but get any Japanise car and they aren 'never' meant to be over 280BHP.. I dont understand the Supra tho as thats 330bhp standard (for the twin turbo anyways)
