Hi
Finally got the harness from: http://www.re-performancecentre.co.uk/
It took me 20 minutes to fit (plug n play) I didn't drill anything so there will be no mess when I take it out or move it. The 2 hardest bits are getting the plugs apart for the harness and connecting the wire to the hand brake, untill I found that it ran under the carpet
I was going to put it on the ash tray but changed my mind.
A duster or cloth hides the display from all those robbing b##t##ds

Hi
Do I need to tell them?
What is there to tell didnt tell them about my cd player. Is it not all ICE ?
Anyone else other ideas??
OK it is probably illegal to leave your car with the engine running but come on. Dont think it would stand up in a court. No keys in the car and when you take the hand brake off the engine stops.
Has anyone else told there insurance company about turbo timers?????????

At the end of the day, how many mods are not declaired to insurance companies??? :?

I think a turbo timer is the least of their worries, when you compair it to a 2.5 conversion!!!

Also it is indeed illegal to leave a car running on a public highway un-attended. :?

However, with a turbo timer:

1) Your car is (should be) locked.
2) There are no keys in the ignition.
3) It has a safety cut out in the event of the handbrake being taken off.

With a good solicitor, it would never stand up in court even if the old bill did fine you.

Also the likelyhood of a copper coming near your car within 1 minute of the car being switched off, getting out of it, locking it up and standing there for 30 seconds looking at the gleaming Scoob you polished at the weekend, is unlikely. Bloody hell, it takes them 30 mins to come out when you call the buggers!!!

Turbo timers have been around for years and I haven't heard of a case yet where anyone has got in big trouble by having one. 8)
