Hi, sorry I haven't been in touch sooner. The trackday was a nightmare, amongst many other things the overheating problem remains!

The high pressure water cap didn't make an ounce of difference....

Regarding the 2 cap dilemma... the standard cap on the radiator is rated at 1.37 bar where as the one on the plastic pot next to the inlet manifold is rated at 1.08 bar. This is the one where the...

Ok thanks for that, I will get hold of the uprated caps and try to bleed as per your procedure. Thanks again for your help, I have another track day in 5 weeks so will let you know how it goes.

Yeah I saw that thread but it doesn't really help to be honest. I think the water pump and stat are the originals (car is 2006 with less than 20k). The car warms up without any issues, and stays cool...

I'm not convinced, there seems to be a lot of inconsistency regarding rad caps. If you look at some of the Impreza race cars they seem to be running 1.1bar caps, others have one 1.3 bar cap and some...

I'm having trouble with with my STI when using it hard on track. I should first point out that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car in normal day to day use!
