ECU Compatability

Hi

Would a stock type r version 5 ECU run in a type r version 4? The v5 is a J2 but unsure what the v4 is as had the Prova when I bought it? Think this is around the time that the ECU's changed...

Hiya

Clutch now slipping in 4'th as well as 5'th so time for a change - have been advised to look down the Exedy route.

For info - type r v4 - don't want to just replace as would rather...

Thanks for the advice guys - cheers Pilot - for info I have been told that the PROVA is just a modified version of the STi chip but should be flashable. We will see!!!

Oh and I think that the correct name is WRX STi Type R V4 Limited, but I have seen a thread 5 or 6 pages long arguing the toss about it!!

Ok so I am a plum!!! not managed to look yet but will take your word for it. Is there any benefit in changing from the 05G to 05H? Guessing probably not.

Hi

Picked up an old TD05H to upgrade my 94 wagon. Does anyone have a link to an upgrading guide at all (if there is such a thing)? Want to diy but could do with a bit of guidance.
