Skoda has announced that WRC ace Colin McRae will make his third appearance of the year for them this weekend, when he takes part in the Monza Rally Show.

McRae will form part of a two-car team at the show, with Rinaldo 'Dindo' Capello in a sister Fabia WRC, the 41-year old returning to event to defend his crown having took the victory last year.

At the same time meanwhile, at the Autodrom Ceska Lipa - used as the opening stage of the Bohemia Rally - at Sosnove in the Czech Republic, Jan Kopecky will contest the fourth 'Meeting of Champions', a series of head-to-head contests on the superspecial style track. The stars of Czech rally, autocross and rallycross will compete against each other while the WRC category is always the most popular with Kopecky so far winning all three previous events - first year with a Toyota Corolla WRC and twice with the factory Fabia WRC.

"These two events are very different from everything else we have done this season and are mainly fun competitions," said Skoda boss, Martin Muehlmeier. "However they are also important as they allow us to thank our fans for their support in an entertaining way and I am sure that 'Dindo', Colin and Jan will all prove to be popular drivers for the fans."
