Re: Welcome steviecrawford79 joins our Forums...

I have a 1997 Uk model. I came on here for some advice as I am new to having a subaru and im a bit lost when it comes to the engine. Im in need of some kind of recirculating valve. I have a fairl wide hose coming off the front top of the intercooler which has a bung in it and a hose directly below that which also has a bung in it which leads back to the turbo. Any suggestions of what my missing part is and what would be the best buy for me?

welcome and enjoy..

sounds like you've had your dump valve removed and blanked off,i know some turbo's will run without a recirc or a vta dump valve, but only if they've been set up for it..

well at the moment its definitely not as quick as it should be , a bit sluggish. When I change gear the air seems to be going back out the induction kit. someone mentioned something about a waste gate valve......any ideas?

Re: Welcome steviecrawford79 joins our Forums...

it can do,will also cause turbo wear and shorten the life of it,also depends wether or not it's an uprated turbo aswell,as most will run happily without a dump valves but most standard turbo won't,get a recirc on there and see what happens, should improve it no end, hopefull no damage has been done to the turbo itself..
