Exclamation Unsloved Mystery.. Need a miracle

I have a 2002 WRX, and it seems to have been a lemon since I've bought it, but I continue with the repairs because its a car worth keeping. Now, it runs fine during the winter, no stalls just great performance. As soon as the temperature outside gets into the 70's-80's, it starts to misfire and stall uncontrollably after 5 minutes into the drive. Now it only happens when it is in gear(even when the clutch is pushed in), as soon as it but the stick into neutral everything stops... I have stumped numerous WRX friends with the same car, and even the dealership mechanics.. Have replaced master relay, cleaned intake etc, and nothing stops the heated misfire.
Any help is welcome, and has anyone even heard of this before??? I'm seem to be the one with the 1-in-a-million problem

Re: Unsloved Mystery.. Need a miracle

All great ideas.. When it first started last spring, I got a full tune up hoping one of those would work.. New plugs, rang out the coils, and changed the fuel filter and that fixed nothing, plus the "check engine" code reads 1,3, &4 cylinder misfire.. Now it only happens when it is in gear like i said, is there anything electrical/grounding that runs through the transmission??

Re: Unsloved Mystery.. Need a miracle

ok after a reset, ive now got just number 51... neutral position sensor? I cant find much information on it other than they can cause misfiring and they are on the side of the gearbox... so ill get a new one and see how things go! ...........this was a quote might be the neutral position sensor on the gearbox

Re: Unsloved Mystery.. Need a miracle

OK, got the Nuetral Safety switch, and it took a few days, but the same problem came back.... now im in a pickle.. my one friend wants me to change my O2 sensors, but am not sure whsich one to try first, front or back... and my other friend wants me to change my Knocks sensor, which is sort of relevent cause when it gets to the misfire point, my engine shakes like an unbalanced american muscle car... now again, I am just not anxious to spend a few hundred bones when the stupid light wont stay on.... like i said, i need a miracle and this miracle has been costing me some pretty coin
