Morning...!

Alright Folks...

Just became the proud owner of an unmodified `03 WRX Sportswagon... 53K FSSH,, lovely car.

well excited..!

Planning on enjoying the motor as standard for a bit then fancy upping things to around the 250-260 bhp mark.. (think is about 220 standard..?)

just wanted to ask... what`s the best direction to go in to acheive that without breaking the bank..?

and what are the most reputable tuning shops out there..?

and lastly... is there a lot of benefit to be had by sticking to one particular fuel..?

all the best...

Cam....

Re: Morning...!

hi mate,i had an 03 wrx for 5 years and it didnt miss a beat all that time, the first thing i did was fit a ninja 2 backbox, just to get a nice sound.i then progressed to a full de-cat downpipe which removed both the cats in the exhaust,i then fitted a manual boost controller, and upped the boost to 1.1 bar (monitored with a boost gauge) and it made a massive difference to the cars performance with no issues at all.the only problem i encounted was that removing both cats in the exhaust was that it brought up a c.e.l light on the dash which was due to the oxygen sensor reading wrong in the downpipe which was rectified with an extension bung on the oxygen sensor in the exhaust, most experts would say a remap would be the safe way to go,all i am saying is that i personaly didnt have any bother at all for 5 years in this state of modification, plus i ran the car mostly on crap asda petrol
