Castle Combe Track Day 28.04.04

Had a cracking day out yesterday at CC. The day was organised by Scoobyzone who are a group of Scooby owners here in the South West. They invited members from my site which incorporated a Golf GTI and Fiat Coupe Turbo Club. Anyway the day went very well and the rain held off

I have loads of film footage some of which is me being taken around the Combe in a 350BHP Evo6  it was mental ! Loads of Scoobs were there and again I have some quality footage. I didn't take my car on the track although I wish I did now cos there was absolutely no pressure to go flat out. If we have another (which looks likely) then I will post up invitations here too incase any of you fancy it ?

Glad the day went well, also better when the rain holds off, unless you enjoy going sideways around the rack  ...Fancy getting some footage on here for download? - I could use it for the animated castle coombe track thats in the pipeline  --- Your name and email and web would be acknowledged of course  ......

And i'm yet to go in an Evo but do look forward to it one day.....

Yea was a top day - if you get the chance gareth go out in an Evo....opens your eyes a bit I can tell you Still prefer Scoobies tho everytime

I'll be copying the footage to CD soon so will post a copy to you so you can extract what you want - I have Saturdays footage of in car in a Scooby and then in an RS Focus using an in car camera mount....so the picture is very still. However when in the Evo yesterday I was holding the camera and when you are doign 80MPH on the grass   (yes he over cooked some of the corners) my camera shake is pretty bad

Wicked --- overcookoed is not so good but hey bet it was worth every second

Thanks Karl, the idea behind this animated track is simple but think it will be useful; User would load a sort of animated outline of the castle coombe track. Varous points on the track will then be clickable. The map would zoom to say a corner (that you clicked on) and you could view some footage, comments, driving notes etc etc...

Sounds like a great plan Gareth - well I will get all the footage onto a cd for you the film of inside the Scoob may be appropriate especially with the sound of it.....what is it about Scoobs and the fantastic sound they make at full chat. They sound good inside the car but hearing them yesterday on the track as they were flying past....well it was like music to my ears

Thanks Nelson. Maybe a movie section is required for this site, catergorised by funnies, racing etc etc... I'm sitting on shed loads of movies here too. Only worry is the bandwidth they use! Massive amounts and my host wont be too please  Buy hey evertbody wants to see movies right :?:

Yes movies are nice to share but as you say take up loads of bandwidth...luckily i have a few members with nice chunks of bandwith and they have offered to host the footage I have taken
