Hi Everyone

Heard the news about this at the SBO and now obviously confirmed on thread on here.

Although further details have NOT yet been posted as to reasons for Cancellation is there not some way this can be salvaged as i know alot of planning had already gone into this and also it was all in aid of a very good cause.

I hope i am not trending on anyone's toes or jumping the gun before more details are posted...it just seems a shame as this would have been an "Excellant"Event for all .

It is a shame but this is beyond our control i'm affraid

We will re-group and start again.... The IDEA was excellent, just other things came into play and it could not be saved......

Hi duracell, In short im sorry to say we haven’t got enough organisers / commitment to pull this off. A main organiser has unfortunately had to pull out and can no longer commit to running this event. As a direct result it has been cancelled.

Im sorry if this has upset anyone.

We will endeavour to seek a resolution to this problem and will keep you informed.

I'm sorry am I missing something here. I wasn't the only one organising this event - it was a group effort if I remember rightly.

We all had our "jobs" to do, Newie had done virtually all of his. I had got the photographer organised, contacting Cancer Research UK to get sponsorship forms, spent hours e-mailing companies getting donations etc and my next task would have been compiling the welcome pack with Gareth.

I was 100% behind this event but felt lack of committment / response was the reason it was jacked in. I don't know what the "other things" are that "came into play" ?? perhaps someone could enlighten me please

I'm sure there will be other times, maybe tried on a slightly smaller scale or something and see how that goes?

A shame, but there is plently of time left to pull together another one
