Re: uppipe

Not too many hp 5 to 7 maybe but a difference helping the turbo kick in a bit earlier. You might need a resistor as your wrx up pipe has an exhaust gas temperature sensor which could throw a cel on. Just put the resistor across the connector when you remove it. An sti or classic standard pipe will fit and can be got 2nd hand cheap and you can be sure of a good fit. Just use new gaskets

Re: uppipe

HI, Shambles

Looking to get any little increase that I can for my 2000 Classic turbo, is there any gain to be had in changing the up pipe ? And does my present up pipe have any cat or other in it that'd make a difference ?

From what you've said above, it would seem probably not. But I'd be grateful for your thoughts, please.

Re: uppipe

It doesn't have one. You can get a better flowing one but I don't think it will make a huge difference. What mods have already done ?

Re: uppipe

So many thanks for your thoughts. I'm grateful.

Am in the research / planning stage. So that once I've got sorted in my mind what I'm going to do, a remap would hopefully encompass all the changes made.

It's in very good condition and low mileage so am planning to keep it long term (save on newer car road tax), upgrade it - and ENJOY ! !
