Classic 2000 Turbo - Remap Advice

Hey all

Its gotten to the stage when I'm considering a remap for my impending trip to the Nurburgring in July. I'm not after huge gains here, just a smoother progression and perhaps the 40-50 extra bhp I have heard about.

My only options are an Ecutek re-flash of my current ecu OR a new Atapi power fc ecu

I heard the Atapi is more for track and not so much for road where my car spends most of its time, in fact the Nurburgring will be my first outing.

So if I go with the flash my questions are,

Do I need to upgrade fuel pump?

Do I really need to decat? (I have a ninja backbox and was considering a ninja 100 cat downpipe only)

Which front panel filter to use?

Is it all worth it?

I have spoken to slowboy, extreme scoobies, and scoobyworld who all seem pretty good, though slowboy are closest to me (I'm in N. London). Any info on all these guys would also be great.

All advice much appreciated.

Decat or sports cat for def, a good panel air filter and a remap. Duncan from race dynamix (dynamix on here) can map it and is mobile. Am sure he will be close to you at some stage in the near future.
The difference will be shocking!

Standard pump should be fine with that work

I am afraid I cannot remap the std ecu on that year of car but I can supply, fit and map a new Simtek for you which will give you two maps, mafless and very good control of the ecu/engine.

Cost wise it is a little more than a remap of the std ecu at £1095 all in but will give great consistent results. Could have one map as a map for the fuel quality in nurburg, most stations over there sell 98 ron fuel so would need to either fully map for that fuel quality here in the uk or use the two map settings on simtek for it.

Great place - you will love it !
