intercoolers

Hi guy's. i've been toying with the idea of a fmic for my wrx. i do not really want to spend more than 400 but i also would like to keep the air-con. Are there any out there someone could recomend that would not need me to remove it? Also do they all need an induction kit fitted? Or are there ones where i can keep the factory air box? Cheers, Andy

What spec you running, anything less than 350 then you don't need a fmic

Re: intercoolers

Hey Matt. Well its a bit of a guesstimate but i reckon it could be running about 280bhp, i have not had it on a rolling road as i'm a little apprehensive about holding a 15yr old car on its rev limit... But i quite often take it on the m-way, and i've heard that over 80mph the wind gets deflected over the factory bonnet scoop and i don't really like those higher style scoops.

Re: intercoolers

In my opinion mate you don't need a FMIC and unless you're going to start upgrading your turbo and running more power then you could end up creating lag with all the extra pipework.
