Question Which Model To Buy??

I am looking to buy a 04-05 Impreza, but before buying I need a lil input. I know the RS and the STi have the same displacement engine, but do they share the same internals as well. If so this will help alot in my decision as I will be modding the car and the 1st thing will be an upgraded turbo system anyway. Since the price difference is roughly $10K I can end up with much more car for the same overall investment if only difference is turbo vs non turbo. Thank You.
BTW I'm in US if that makes a difference as well.

Not familiar with the RS in US but would I be right in saying they all are N/A engines then if that the case I know what I'd be getting a nice STI POWERRRRRRR

Re: Which Model To Buy??

get the sti, as i understand it (not in us so not 100% sure) but the rs is like our sports, so none turbo, low spec suspension, brakes. sti's have forged pistons so are stronger and the liust goes on

Thanks for the response and the info Tidgy. I'll have to keep this in mind for future reference.

Pretty sure you can't. The US are very strict about imports which is why you don't see classic WRX/STi's over there. They are generally converted RS's.

Re: Which Model To Buy??

What are some good aftermarket companies for upgrades for WRX/STIs that I may not have heard of on my side of the pond boys and girls? Thank You.
