Smile 2005 sti md321t and injectors

hello people,

can anyone help?
i have a 2005 blobeye sti prodrive which i have had remmaped and im guessing its between 330-350 bhp.

anyway the time has come for a bit more power
i have decided to go for a MD321T turbo upgrade and some 650 injectors and have it mapped to give me about 400bhp.

my question is will it be safe to run this mutch power on an otherwise standard car and what is the limits of the standard parts clutch, pistons, valves ect.

thanks,
lee.

Pistons may need replacing with forged but all depends what boost you are thinking of. 400ish prob need around 23ish.

the 2005 will be ok at 400bhp, but dont go any higher as they were fitted with the hyperetic pistons, not the fully forged sti pistons.

Re: 2005 sti md321t and injectors

ok, so you say it will be ok at 400 but no higher.
so as it is on the limit is it gonna be safe and last? as this is my daily driver.
also i have a choice of a 58mm intake with the turbo or 76mm
and there is an option for vvt heads or none vvt am i correct in saying i want the vvt?
thankyou all for your replys.

Re: 2005 sti md321t and injectors

if your replacing the heads then it aint gonna be cheap, may as well do rods and pistons anyway because you 3/4 of the way there.

the standard ecu wont be switchable from none vvt to vvt.

i think you need to step back a bit and decide how much do you want to spend?

Re: 2005 sti md321t and injectors

sorry tidgy probs my fault, but i think you got the wrong end of the stick

when on the lateral site about to order the turbo there is an option for what size intake you want 58mm or 76mm

and there is a box you need to check, vvt heads or none vvt i assumed depending on what type of heads you had u needed the turbo to match.
i thought mine had vvt heads as standard anyway.

58mm inlet will be perfect for your needs Rocky.

You will want to pick up a silicone inlet hose too so as to make the most of it but it will work nicely IMO
