hey all, new to the subaru forum and really cant wait to get into my impreza next week when im home

i got it cheap off my uncle for 1000 , its the old subaru but only a 2litre non turbo.

how much would it cost for decent turbo'ed engine with all bits i need, what spec should i look at for the drag strip

It's a huge undertaking to convert it to a turbo - unfortunately it would be cheaper and easier to buy a turbo than to convert yours

as above, sell and buy a wrx/sti its just not worth the effort/cost and hassle of insurance every year there after.

Welcome to the site, for 1000 you can't grumble. Just enjoy that one and get your no claims built up, won't be long before you want to move up to the STi

i be undertaking the work, i done other cars like mg tf, corsa redtop.

so subaru aint worth the hassel ? how bad is it, i would of thought this be one of the easyier cars to convert tbh. cheers for the advise tho very much appreciated
