New FMIC - Front bumper won't fit!!

Hi

I have just fitted a new FMIC to my 97 WRX and have pretty much had to cut the bumper in half to make it fit and it is now not possible for the fog lights to go back in. Well not without them pointing to the sky.

Was just wondering if there is an aftermarket bumper that gives you more room or if a later models bumper would fit and give me the extra room.

The FMIC is an autobhan and did say that no modifications to the bumper were required!!!!

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Well its running ok with it on and most people I spoke to said that the tmic would not be capable above 300bhp so here we are.

At the end of the day as long as I can run 360bhp and it looks good I will be happy..

Not quite happy yet. lol

ive heard the AB 88 Coolers are poor also, looks are not important its the air flow and temps etc, the look of a cooler can be very misleading

Re: New FMIC - Front bumper won't fit!!

at speed airflow kicks up over the scoop, bear in mind althought he cooler is a good size, the bonnet scoop isn't, so thats your limiting factor.

not sure on actualy percentages. you can run a top mount over 300, but your start to loose efficiency and inlet temps start to rise. 300+ and you want to go front mount.
