wrx what is needed for the magic 300 bhp

hi there id thought id ask some questions about moding my subaru impreza wrx lreg.
so far the spec is
decat
tdo5 turbo unsure g?
3 inch exhaust with 3 silencers (quite)
uprated air filter.
walbora fuel pump

now i think thats it so i was thinking power would be around 250bhp?
so my question is whats next id like 300 bhp at the fly.
now ive heard of remaps etc injectors fmics etc but i would like to know what do you guys recommend for around the 300 bhp and can the engine take it?

it is running the standard boost controller am i right in saying this should be set to 14.7 psi? as it keeps hitting boost cut which i fing weird as pipes seem connected from actuator to the solenoid.
i live in the birmingham area so any scooby tuners who i can take the car to , to get set up correctly ?

thanks for any replys

what ecu does it have fitted?
If it has a Z4 ecu then you will see 0.9 bar which is a little less then you mention.

It will need either a ESL daughterboard to enable live mapping or a standalone ecu like Simtek. (I can supply and map either)

both of which can acheive what you need but your tmic will be a limiting factor (as will the small 380cc standard injectors).

Re: wrx what is needed for the magic 300 bhp

hi there i do now have a scooby chip fitted ,it had a tdo5 turbo, walbora fuel pump and is supposed to be mapped to 280 bhp at 16.5 psi but im only making around 15 psi ,so i guess ill get it checked on the rollers and make sure its safe .
i have tried different boost controllers as this chip still does use the genuine boost controller.

i would like to upgrade the intercooler actually to a sti one or something?
as for the injectors on this map ive been told i cant, and would need it remapping again.

sounds like you know your stuff with these do you do the rolling road/checking fueling etc how much and where are you based?

cheers

Cheers - I am based in cambridgeshire but am fully mobile. For dyno facilities I have dynos that I use in northampton, norwich, north yorkshire and surrey which i can tune on or one more local to you depending on where you are?

Easiest to fit a fmic - one of harvey's hybrid gt2 FMIC's is good value.

Hi - Just south of Ely off the A10.

I am quite often down in suffolk though - heading down to Ipswich on the 20th if that timescale works for you.

Re: wrx what is needed for the magic 300 bhp

How do you go about tuning please? I was looking at clive athowe originally but open to ideas and offers lol How much would you charge, how do you do it, and what kind of gains can be got?

I have a turbo 2000 (1999), it has full turbo back decat system, walbro, panel filter and when it comes to it will have a TD05 also.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards, Martin
