RaceDynamix ECU Tuning + Launch Control
Most of you will be aware of the benefits of remapping of the newage ecu's to enhance power, torque, run on different fuel such as E85, methanol etc so not appearing to want to teach you to suck eggs. Anyway on to some other stuff you might not know..
For the newage maps I do I can add: Launch Control: 2001 - 2005 wrx 2001 - 2005 sti Launch Control & Flat Throttle Shifting: 2006 - 2007 wrx 2006 - 2007 sti Flat Throttle shifting allows you to hold the throttle fully open while shifting gears and keeps the turbo spinning ready for release of the clutch with zero lag. Effectively holds up to a bar of boost in between gears ready for when you let the clutch out again. Boost Map Switching is also available on some cars such as the 2001-2002 wrx enabling you to have two boost levels and switch between them on the go. Full custom remaps cost £350 for all newage and hatch subarus. These are customised to your exact modifications and mapped with you generally on the road although dyno mapping can be done if you prefer (there is obviously a charge for the dyno time on this). There may be a small charge for mileage if just coming to do one remap in an area butt this is waived if more than one on a day. My contact details are: duncan@racedynamix.com 07540 185754 or pm me on here with any questions. Full information and examples are shown: RaceDynamix | UK | Subaru Remapping & ECU Tuning Also available ESL live remapping for Classic Imprezas 92-96

Re: RaceDynamix ECU Tuning + Launch Control
It really depends on what kind of tweaks. Generally between £100 and £150 for things like decat and turbo changes. Adding Launch control or FFS can be done at the same time for £50 or as a separate mapping session for £100.

Re: RaceDynamix ECU Tuning + Launch Control
can you tell me a little about how launch control works as i've never come across it in a car? and can it damage the clutch if used frequently like launching a car without it?
can this be done on ECUTEK software?, or have i got the wrong end of the stick? Thanks Andrew

Re: RaceDynamix ECU Tuning + Launch Control
Launch control allows you to floor the throttle while stationary to build up boost and hold at a preset RPM rather than hitting the limiter while standing still. It allows for consistent and very quick launches as the boost is available straight away in 1st gear so you dont have to wait for it to build.
No launch will makes friends with your clutch ![]() It can be added to cars previously ecuteked.

launch control is simply a revised rev limit, for want of a better description, it holds the revs at a lower level say 4500rpm when stationary. as soon as you move and engage the gearbox the limit is removed. makes it easier to launch. Not exactly very friendly on clutches and if you get good at launching you'll out launch it anyway

Re: RaceDynamix ECU Tuning + Launch Control
It is very difficult to get quick boost in 1st gear during a run normally. Using a launch control set up allows the boost to build with WOT at standstill - that helps in the first 60ft. From the guys that do 1/4's - any time saved in the first 60 ft counts treble by the end (or something like that) - I am sure JD will put me right on that.
