more power needed

Hi
New to all this.
I want to get more power out of my 03 WRX and have read loads of things.
I have fitted a full decat 3" exhaust including up pipe and an induction kit. I have been looking at changing the turbo but not sure which one to go for. Was also thinking about changing the headers and getting a remap but again not sure where to go for this. I will be fitting an uprated fuel pump and fmic.
do I leave the remap until I have done the other work.
I used to do tune minis and mk2 escorts but everything has changed since then lol.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

yea do all the work mate before map then go to jolly green monster. he comes to u a maps there an then. while changing headers do turbo at same time get a vf35 mate. kill 2 birds with 1 stone. fuel pump is very easy an also id say do spark plugs while doing turbo an get cooler plugs. if u get fmic make sure ur air filter will still fit

Hi and welcome

After each part of the work mentioned above... ensure you do the reset procedure... or you could end up running lean etc

Jolly Green Monster are excellent as mentioned but I also recomend Bob Rawle BRD ltd... I suggest you log onto thier sites and give them a ring or an e-mail directly to tell them your plans... they will be more than happy to direct you and advise on the pit falls and procedures etc.... before they re-map

Re: more power needed

vf35 will be a good upgrade, you will need a fuel pump and bigger injectors then a map to suite.

Scooby Clinic | The UK's Largest Independent Subaru Specialists | 01246 590 807 - Chesterfield S42 6QX do all my work and supplied my vf34 turbo and fitted it, but plenty of places out there

Re: more power needed

as Tidge has said,VF35 is a good start, then sportcat/decat(depends on year and MOT hassle)decent headers, free flow centre section and back box, fuel pump depedant on wether or not its already been done, injectors could be an advisable upgrade, but then again dependant on whats fitted and what you mapper is happy to tune the car too

with just those simple mods and a decent map 300bhp is easy

Re: more power needed

Thanx everyone
lots of good advice. I have seen a TD05H 16g, 18g and 20g for sale but am unsure of the differences the vf35 dont seem as common.
what size injectors would be needed?
I already have an OBDII lead that will allow a connection and I have read about ECUflash, ECUexplorer and Romraider but it always says that I need the Tactrix openport lead is this the case as I now think I should reset the ECU with the mods that I have aleady done b4 I blow it up.
Is there no other way of controlling ECU like the power commander I have on my Blade?

Re: more power needed

unless you know what your doing with mapping i would stay well clear of allt he free software for self mapping, not worth risking your engine over a few hundred quid.

td05's are off a different age car normaly and there for have a different entry, you'll need the 18g at least to see an improvment. they can be retro fitted to suit, but personaly i'd go the vf35 route.
