Re: new at this? how do i start?

um sell it back and buy a turbo'd version.

tuning up a nasp is not realy worth it, theres loads of parts that arn't up to sti spec etc, so unless you plan to strip it back to the shell and rebuild from scratch then your gonna always be behind a turbo'd version im afraid

well thx! it's a start`haha
so the turbo'd model has the same engine plus turbo? or is it a slightly smaller engine with a turbo added, like most companies tend to do...?

The 170 hp Impreza has a 2.5L 4 cyl boxer SOHC 16 valve engine with a i-active valve system, aluminum heads and block, sequential multi-port fuel injection. Compression 10:1

The WRX has a 2.5L boxer DOHC, 4 cylinder, 16 valve engine with active valve control system, aluminum alloy block and heads, semi-closed deck 5 main bearings, cast iron cylinder liners, composite resin intake manifold and sequential multi-port fuel injection. Compression 8.4:1 + a Turbo.
