NewAge ECU resets and general mild tuning....

If you're in and around the Northants area and need a reset/error codes reading/fixing, or some mild ECU tweaking/mapping after physical mods on WRX and STi drop me a line.

I can read and flash std Newage WRX or STi ECU's from 2001 onwards both 2.0L and 2.5L. If you have ECUTEK then only 2001-2005 ECU's so long as the ECUTEK was done before 2006. Any ECUTEK tunes done from 2006 onwards and the ECU is locked out to anything bar ECUTEK however i should still be able to do a reset and datalogging. Not sure if i can read the ECU though!!

I've been tuning my own for the last couple of years and have become fairly intimate with the electronics/general tuning but i am no pro. My WRX wagon started off as WRX engined but then i swapped it out for an STi8 engine and STi7 wiring too. Did all the work myself and have enjoyed tuning my car ever since. I have various ROMS for different stages of tune for WRX and STi's so there will be something there to suit your car with some mild tweaking as well.

If i can help drop me a line

Re: NewAge ECU resets and general mild tuning....

Resetting ECU's, reading trouble codes etc..., there's no danger in doing that.
Very mild tuning of, and i'm talking very mild, of someones ECU to make slightly better use of or cure any running problems they have from any physical mods (i.e. CEL code error fixes) they've had done but not mapped for is not really a big issue and unlikely to blow anyones car up.

Also i'm doing them a favour and they come to me under those auspices. So if anything happens to their P&J because they're driving it like a numpty to the point they blow up their P&J, well that's not my responsibility.

Thanks for the warning though.
