A few questions on remapping

Hi all have recently purchased my first impreza, am looking into getting it remapped and was wondering do you need to change the ecu in order to remap the car? Or do i have to buy a different ecu? Whereabouts is a reputable tuner around the south wales area?

Thanks in advance

Re: A few questions on remapping

depending on the year of the car same ecu can be remapped unless its a really early models.

do the mods first like decat up pipe rear box no need for any atmosphericale dump valve and after market filters you can use a element filter in the air filter box if you want but the stock one is as good enough.

what ever fuel you get it mapped on use the same fuel like v.power from shell for best results in performance.

simple decat and a remap will give you good results like 45 50 extra horse power depending how good the jobs don. am sure Theres a good few guys on here who will recommend you a good mapper closer to you.

Re: A few questions on remapping

Its a n reg so its a 95/6 ? It has a japspeed uppipe and haywood scott straight through exhaust and a warlbro fuel pump an is still running the standard airbox/filter. Basically if i go to a tuner can the car be remappe on the ecu that is on the car or do i need another ecu/piggyback system
