Tufnol spacers

At weekend i did tufnol spacers for inlet manifold. This spacer stops heat from the engine transferring heat to the inlet manifold. i can say that it works
I bought tufnol sheet ~12 including shipping. a few hours work and spacer
were ready I know that they are sold 80-90.
Here is the result :

Re: Tufnol spacers

various sizes/thickness we buy it in 1.5 mtr sheets,
but if honest I cant see how this will really work, its like snake oil and those cool running thermostats, once the engine is hot the heat soak will just make the spacer the same temp after a short time, if there was some way to cool that then I would see that all the effort was really worth it.

Re: Tufnol spacers

I drove ~ 50min, after stopping I could touch intake manifold . usually it cant be done without burning finger.
Here is a site that gave the idea to try:
Autospeed.com
