Bugeye Race Dynamix Re-Map

Hi all, Im looking at letting Duncan remap by Bugeye. Its on a 02 plate and is only altered by a back box and panel filter. What is everyones take on a remap? Looking at a PPP it produces 265 bhp ish on standard engine internals, without having to upgrade engine parts is this type of map viable for my motor? Its sitting on 67 k, does about 1.5k a year - I dont rag it and its got a excellent history. I just feel at lower down the revs and pootling along in 5th or even lower down for that matter its a bit shy on torque.

Cheers - Ben.

Decat it and remap - the results will amaze you! Prodrive ecu uses a generic map and a custom map from duncan will work great. If you're going for it and spending that money you should decat for the best results

Re: Bugeye Race Dynamix Re-Map

Remaps are well worth doing after any mod. Duncan did my 03 sti a week ago and it is running spot on and pulls like a train. Don't worry about mileage either, mine has 95000 on the clock and according to duncan it is still as sweet as a nut. You will be well impressed by his service and knowledge.

I do, though they are seen as chavvy over here they are on most of the tuned/modded motors in Japan. They do go a little ott at times though.

I think it is always going to be difficult to gain the desired power from a normal aspirated vehicle. the gains are virtually unnoticable. however, if you add the mods then maybe you gain some bhp, the remap will make the car more drivable and lively but not necessarily powerful, like you would get from a Turbo remap.
