2 port/3 port?

Hi guys, got a my99 uk turbo 2000 with prodrive ecu. I have recently been told that to get more from the car I need a 3 port boost solenoid? I am not familiar with this at all. Can anyone tell me the difference it could make? And what does it look like? Any help on this would be great, cheers

Re: 2 port/3 port?

the 3 port allows the mapper to have more precise boost control. however changing the solenoid will mean needs a remap.

for a base spec MY99 uk with decat and panel filter being mapped, i wouldn't bother with a 3 port, if you start changing turbos etc then its worth it.
