Scope for WRX tuning/modifications

Hi guys

Newbie here.

Just posted on my purchase of my first Impreza. 2002 wrx. I am basically writing to find out on the potential for tuning/modification of this model. Starting from BPU, right through.

Thanks

Would you agree the first would be to fit boost control/monitoring and raise the stock pressure?
What is the stock boost pressure of my WRX? , would I be correct in saying 13.5psi? and what is the safe pressure for ti to be raised?
I don,t really have a set budget tbh. I think I will enjoy her for a while befor purchasing a newer STI sometime next year.
I would like to increase the performance without putting too much money in.

Re: Scope for WRX tuning/modifications

could decat it and hope you get away with not needing it to be mapped, but basic mods start off with decat, panel filter and remap, but thast circa 1200 ish to get those done. After that its new turbo etc etc which is into mega bucks

Would you reccommed the Viezu remapping? Any idea how much that costs?

Can you also increase boost pressure when you have had remapping carried out.

Re: Scope for WRX tuning/modifications

A 1000 will get you to a safe 280 bhp, as mentioned a remap via OS is cheaper then Ecutek, a fuel pump, panel filter and exhuast inc decat up pipe will totally transform the cars POWER but wont help the handling, so get ready to spend to that next lol

Re: Scope for WRX tuning/modifications

I got to 265 BHP and sorted the suspension for under a grand

Decat Pipe 40 ebay
Magnex Back Box 40 ebay
Green Panel Filter 20.00
ECUTEK 500
Eibach Springs 200
Whiteline Rear ARB 80 *Bugeye_Bob".

Spent a small fortune since to get to 345BHP
