gap in door window

not sure if this is a common problem, but ive noticed that if i open and close my door window after i shut the door there is a noticeable gap between the window and the pillar seal, which if its raining then will come straight through and get me in my face! not ideal when you're trying to drive.
but if i open and close the door with the window up then its not as bad, is this something to do with the motor, or is the window somehow not level when i put it back up with the door closed?

Re: gap in door window

What year is the car? as I know in some of the mercedes frameless doors when you open the door the window drops about 5mm to clear it so to open then when you close the door the window then rises again to close the gap but obviously you have a different prob Id take the door card off and check to see whats going wrong might be somthing stuck a bit in the window runners somtimes good to spray wd40 down these as the windows will slide up and down faster and it will clear any heavy dirt built up inside the runners if not that could check the regulator and motor

Re: gap in door window

You can adjust the window by taking the door trim off, You can also move the rubber seal by tapping the flange in or out with a rubber mallet. My guess is the window has dropped a little.
