Which Gauges
I have recently bought a Defi BF Boost Gauge and am in the process of buying a 3 pod dash mounted pod.
I need another two Defi gauges but I'm not sure which two to get? They do a fuel pressure one but I'm not sure how important the info is ![]() Any advice appreciated. |

I have defi's and have.
Boost Alarmed so I know if overboosting. Oil presure. Alarmed so I know if pressure drops. You would be surprised at the differant pressures on tickover of differant oils. Oil temp. I never never drive car on boost untill oil temp gets to normal driving temp. You would be surprised at how long this is after water temp is normal. |

Fuel Pressure is handy if you are mappng a car. Or perhaps just to make sure you still have a good fuel pressure when the car is screeming in top gear. As you know a low fuel pressure means weak mixture which means DET.

A real eye opener when i installed a set of Defis in mine i have to say. Water gauge to temp in no time at all. Oil temperature i'd say followed on at least another 10 minutes or so latter. Its no wonder that some people run into trouble with reliability and such, when blindly applying boost and the thing is still cold. |

my only worry with the pillar mount is that the top one is very close to your head and for me it was to " in yer face" which is why I went for the dash mount.
Nelson liked his in the line of sight but had a two gauge set up. not majorly difficult to do, wiring can be a bit tricky  Which model do you have, later ones have the ultra sonic alarm jobbies on the A post which needs to be moved. Would suggest going for electrical gauges over mechanical, dont want hot oil in the car  The deffi system links it together which makes it lots easier, but is not cheap. Buzz |
