Pods and Gauges

Hi all

I want to get a double pillar gauge pod, am considering the one from Scooby world for 59.00 for my 99 as it directly replaces the cover in my scoob.

I would like to get a boost gauge and an oil temp or pressure gauge. I know how to wire up the boost gauge but how easy is the whole thing to fit and install :?

Hi Daz - not so long ago I had a twin a pillar and Autometer AFR and Boost gauges installed in mine However I paid someone to do it cos to be honest I didn't want to botch it up. As you say the Boost isn't so bad but the AFR I am not so sure about ??

Hi Nelson

Yeah I'm also a bit worried about screwing it up

Where did you go and how much did set you back :?:

Do you know anyone good around the Berkshire area :?

Sorry bud but I got a local Tuning company to sort it out for me - which will be of no use to you. They did the whole job for 80 notes

Bloody good job they did too

if it's any help, not that i have done it yet to mine , but the boost guage is an easy one to install.

I've installed on on a 200sx s13 which was just a case of clip the correct air line and insert a t-piece.

on the scoob it's easier, no cutting at all. on the top of the inlet manifold there is a little bung that you remove and simply put the hose from the boost guage there - job done!

other guages though, oil temp, oil pressure etc, personaly i'd leave it to someone who knows a whole load more than i do!

Thanks James

I agree the boost gauge is no problem but the others are best left to someone whose done it before.

Would be good to watch and learn if possible to give others and have some knowledge for myself next time
