stupid engine light

stupid engine light

hi i having trouble with engine light an dont think it shows a code but i start my car from cold an let it warm up then after like 1 min the engine light will just stay on. wont flash or anythin it will stay on then after a bit it will go off then back on but only a maybe it will come back on. it confuses me coz dont think there a code from it to read except it stays on. help please

Is your impreza a classic if so check this How to read ECU codes Classic Impreza and heres the codes they should be fault codes come up in system Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Knowledge / Subaru Specific Trouble Code Definitions

i think so mate. not done it for a bit but just winds me up coz will just come on. u pop the bonnet then decides to go off. ill take the bulb out lol

take the bulb out at your own risk, get it checked out as may be an indication of a fault.

i might take bulb or swap it around an c if another light like handbrake flashes on off but will check soon

if it was a faulty nulb then swapping round wud show that if another symbol flashed randomly but if not that then a sensor is faulty or problem wit a part of the car

good luck changing the lamp.

lamps rarely will flicker if faulty, will just go out.

yea mate i changed all the bulbs before to make it blue light background so it not that hard
