fiber glass dash

Right folks silly question time again do ye know of anyone who has done a fiber glass dash in a classic scobby, if so how hard and what sort of problems have you come across

fiberglass is HEAVY
and it's prone to chips/pitting and cracking

i'd avoid it if i were you

Aware of the headaches but to place the required amout of audio i need to put in i will have to make a dash to suit as far of cracking etc that wont be much of a problem but all advice and help will always be taking on board

Cover the old dash in pva release film(not pva glue)then gel coat then fibre glass the dash when cured, pop the grp off the dash, the finish will be smooth as a baby bum, & then you can use that as a female mould, the smooth finish will be transfered to the dash you make, with no cracks or pitting.
