Pass airbag won't go off from your mod. The removal will set a fault and I believe shut down the module so neither will work.

IF YOU TAKE OFF YOUR DRIVERS AIRBAG it will disable the whole system so you may aswell remove the passanger one aswell and replace it with the glove box from a lesser model it will cost you about 90pound for this part from amain dealer i did this my self on my type r your airbag light will come on but you can just remove the bulb the hardest part is getting the hron to work it is possible but you have to cut the airbag loom going up to the steering wheel
it will also require you sanding the cowel to accomadate the new steering wheel boss in total it should take around 3 hours to do just disconect your battery about one hour before you start the job so there is no power going to the airbag system

When you remove the drivers side bag, the pass side will remain active.

pass side airbag will stay on and it will stay active unless you disable the airbag brain (located in the center of your dash)

or you disconnect the airbag sensors themselves

how do i know?

i have this setup in my street car
it was in my FORMER street car which was involved in a huge accident

pass side airbag still deployed.....
whilst everyone walked away from the car without a scratch.

contact me with questions
