2005 STi Seat removal and installation

Hi all

Just bought a set of SABELT FIA rally spec seats.. AWESOME if I do say so myself!!!

They're bottom mounted and I was told by a subaru Technitian that so are the standard ones? Does anyone know in detail how to remove front seats or know where I can download a manual to help me? :?

Many thanks

Daz

Hiya Pete

Will check it out thanks mate!

Decided I'd give it a try, wasn't difficult to get the seat off just had to remember to plug out then plug in the clip under the driver's seat which is contected to the seat belt detection and airbag sensor.

Only problem is the seats aren't bottom mounted so I need to by the brackets for side mounting them. :x

Added a pic of it, well worth the money as they're so comfortable and I think they'll ook the mutts nuts 8)

Anyways will le you know how I get on!

Will do Pete

Just a mission as I need to modify the seat railings to get them to fit properly.

will post pics as soon as it's sorted.

I recommend a visit to w.ww.sabelt.co.uk if anyone is interested in changing seats.

Hey Pete

Bad news the rails are completely different and so wont fit unless I bolt the seats to the floor but thats just one problem. The other is they are to wide and would only be able to fit far back enough for a dwarf to be comfortable

Oh well will save the cash for something else on the car?

Would of been geat anyhow...
