Decals have to come off :(

To put bigger ones on!!!!

The steamer has been out, along with tar and bug remover, and a little WD40 to finish it off.

Dee and I spent 20 mins yesterday taking the large one (1m x 25cm) off the drivers side. Probably going to leave the ones on the boot and the bonnet for the moment.

I will probably thouroughly clean the car too. ops:

The vinyl cutters vary in price. Ebay is a good place to look for a used one, especially if you're looking to do a small amount of vinyl. I've got a Roland SX model.

Vinyl is a couple of pound per metre of 600mm wide vinyl (normal colours) right up to 45 for the holographic/colour-flip stuff.

Have a look here: http://www.signwizard.co.uk/vinyl.htm for slightly overpriced equipment and vinyl.

I buy vinyl from a local vinyl wholesaler/distributor about 20 miles away from home.

I never got out to strip anymore off the car today - too busy tiling!

I Managed to find another couple of hours in my busy schedule and took some more of the stickers off.

I've removed both Scoobymag side stickers, the rear window sticker and the ones on each side of the car rear door windows.

By using a wallpaper steamer/stripper and a wooden spatula  I removed them all leaving no scratches whatsoever. The reason for using a spatula was that the reflective vinyl only comes off in little pieces. Normal vinyl comes off in one piece generally..

I then used both bug & tar remover, along with a bit of wd40 to wipe the residue off (mostly left where the reflective vinyl was)

I also managed to give the car a good (outside) clean in the two hours.

The rest of the vinyl is staying as it is, just need to cut the new side ones for the summer shows
