please help !!!!!!!!!1

hi ya,
i own a 1999 turbo 2000, im currently having problems and was wondering if anybody could help???
car drives ok, but when you go to floor it, occasionally around 4000rpm i get the engine check light .... (safe mode) reset - light stays off for a bit....
blink codes are 44 45 (turbo actuator control solenoid)
ive clean out all sensors and vac pipes and serviced ect...........................
this fault occurred after a gearbox install... (checked everything connected)
are the codes the cause or the symptom? also does seem to run rich (new air flow sensor/ lamba fitted)
any body had anything close to this problem?
any help would be greatly appreciated..
