Re: Shell V-Power vs BP Optimax?

my car is mapped to 97 ron so i never have to worry about detting as i always use a higher octane, i.e shell V, or tescos 99

BP Ultimate isnt as good as V Power.

When mine was originally mapped 3 years ago (before the meth), the tank had BP Ultimate in it and was causing det, switched to V Power and all was good.

V Power is 99 RON
BP Ultimate is 97 RON

Suggest an ecu eset.

Re: Shell V-Power vs BP Optimax?

Never got on with BP 97 Ron.... had previous Impreza's with PPP and they ran ok with 97... but only ok.... Switched to 99 Tesco or 98 Shell and things improved greatly

Now running a classic with dual map switching... so when I can't get 98/99 ron I switch to prevent problems with pre-det

Hope this helps

Tesco 99 or V power depends on nearest garage.
