i'm not sure if that can be made public because a divorce would cost him even more than the rebuild

All i know is - the whole engine rebuild including the uprated parts n labour cost about 1K from a small one man band rally outfit in North wales. Andy Williams has been rallying and building suburu engines for many many years

Re: ENGINE INTERNALS

tbh i'd dump the turbo, that spec will run 360-380 with out problem, although gearbox may spit its dummy out lol

other thing is i'd dump the modine opil cooler for a proper core oil cooler sat in the front.

Why dump the modine oil cooler, unless you are planning on tracking the car.

cos it will run hot, oil temps will wipe out the engine if not controlled, just go ask zen about there japan exploits lol adn the modine at that sort of level is just not up to it

there not mega expensive £450 ish for a fully fitted thermo controlled oil cooler.

how many supporting mods have you got on your car matey? (i say that cos i knwo its alot lol) once you start getting to around 350 - 400 you can;t just chuck a big blower at it and your safe as houses, its support mod teritory for sure.

Re: ENGINE INTERNALS

at what level did Zens spit its dummy out in Japan?

An oil cooler is something I would consider if it was being tracked on a regular basis, but it isnt so no worries.

Unless Nobby is planning on changing turbo for a much bigger one and tracking regularly, hy bother.

it spat its dummy out at 130 degrees c lol

vf28 will push it far enough to need one, i needed one at under 300bhp, and engine is still going strong 3 years later despite being pushed even further.

sit in traffic or go for a blast on a hot day and you'll see temps rise a hell of along way.
