How to get more Power

i have had problems in the past and you guys really helped, i replaced HT leads and o2 sensor as they came up in diagnostics on my 01 GX impreza model, but to be honest this car runs like a bag of Kack, its the slowest 2 litre ive ever owned, (corsa.s leave me standing )what can i do to make it run better and make it feel like the 2 litre its meant to be...thanks Gee

I had a 2.0l impreza and it went like S##t on fire. All i did was straight through exhaust, no cats, panel filter, regular servicing and decent sets of spark plugs, also used fuel cleaner often. lightweight pulleys are good mod. and any weight reduction will increase acceleration. Try a leightweight wheel if u can afford it. OZ superlegra is one of the lightest I think.

Weight is the performance killer... remove spare wheel and empty boot as well... carry tyre weld for emergency repairs

And like Andrew said... straight through cat less pipe, cotton panel filter and one grade colder NGK platinum plugs...

Ensure tyres pumped to highest recomended pressure....

Lightened flywheel is a great Mod that will increase your acceleration time hugely... Try Harvey Smith... he does an amazing deal on a 6.1 kg Light flywheel... just ensure it will fit your NA GX it cost about 230 Plus delivery

Would you need a remap after all that? I'm gonna buy a lightweight crank pulley. What are the main benefits of it and will I need a remap after? Do you no how much power you were pushing?

Re: How to get more Power

Also what heat grade is the best on spark plugs? Also how hard is it to change them?

Re: How to get more Power

Spark plugs are very easy to change but you need to ensure the gap is the correct size but you just unscrew the first lot and screw in the new ones becareful not to snap em done that before now lol
