Got...

one of these last week

as a serious music person, its essential to have a quality tuneage output machine(imo)

now need some of these

for anyone into their music as much as i am,this thing(headunit, not hearing aids)this is worth it's weight in gold,it even sets up the perameters of the accoustics within the car and adjusts it's self accordingly, then you can "tweek"to your own personal preferances, even got it for alot less than most places are selling it at

Re: Got...

the above model is the DEH-P88RS,currently one of pioneers flagship models, had to replace the
DEH-P8400MP as it stated to have a mind of its own, fast forwarding, turning off n on,volume inoperative, even the flaming remote couldn't control it gutted as the 8400 is/was the ultimate unit a few years back..

had a sony on my old 309,was in there 2 weeks, was pants compared to any of my Pioneer units

Re: Got...

Adam me mate with the 2spl cars has got one in his 406 coupe, just find the rotary controls could have done with being bigger, find em a bit fiddly.

Pioneers are definately where its at though at the moment for me, got a cheap one in both the scooby and the runabout-value for money and sound quality at the price cant be beaten in my opinion-big alpine fan and panasonic however in the last yr bought 2 pioneer head units an im pleased with both (both were under 70 each)

Re: Got...

Very Nice Ed mate...

I have fitted an Alpine head unit and replaced all the speakers in the wagon... also added a small underseat sub to fill in the mid bass

Love me music... especially Niel Young, The Floyd and Zep

But have broad tastes... want better front door speakers... the Pioneers are bottom of thier range and sure I could do better? Any ideas?
