Exclamation noise pollution

was having a read of the daily rag and came across an interesting article. Plymouth police crack down on anti-social drivers

takes the piss, ok you do get some petrol heads that just zoom around the same area night after night being a KEV (no offence to anyone called kev)

what are your thoughts on this

love kev

Re: noise pollution

OK, well here it is. A few months ago I had the environmental health round following complaint for noise pollution from the Scooby. They were actually quite nice about it. I explained that I didn't sit out side my house revving my engine, I don't own a Nova and that I had to let my car run for 5 mins before I drive it and cool down for a min before I turn it off, thats all.
there was nothing they could do so they just spoke to my neighbour (only the one !!) and politely told her to stop complaining.
Would be interested to know what the letter of the law states about being pulled by the police though. Free country and all that !

Re: noise pollution

1-0 to you then Matt hahaha well done. i dont think the police or council can actually do anything. if you read the article again it says they will only take action if you have a NON STANDARD exhust. and as all the scoobs i know have standard ISH exhust lol i really dont think they can do anything.... plus all you have to say to them "ITS FACTORY FITTED" doubt they will have a clue anyways TBH. kindly explain to them that they are POLICE and not GREECE MONKEYS

Re: noise pollution

but there are no clear db levels which would constitute a law, it is down to the police mood at the time.
